Places like Bridgetender Tavern have hearty pub food while Sylva offers some fancy dishes but honest food opinions vary since not everyone loves wood fire cooking. I personally think the local food is decent enough for a hungry traveler but your own taste buds will have to be the final judge on that.
Nevada Brings The Luxury And Casinos
The Nevada side is a bit quieter but it focuses heavily on fancy living with places like Incline Village offering golf courses and high end resorts. You can even stay at the Hyatt Regency to enjoy a deluxe spa or try your luck at a 24 hour casino right near the water.
Secret Beaches Have A Catch
Nevada has some beautiful free public beaches like Secret Harbor and Secret Cove but you should know that clothing is optional at some of them. Do not be completely shocked if you see folks enjoying the beach without their swimsuits because that is a totally normal thing at that specific spot.
Get Out On The Water Easily
Emerald Bay State Park in California is the perfect spot if you want to rent a kayak or try stand up paddleboarding for the afternoon. You can even hop on a classic Mississippi paddlewheel boat called the Tahoe Queen if you want to see the sights without doing any of the hard work yourself.
Sunsets Are Better From The Rocks
You do not even have to get in the freezing cold water to enjoy the view because spots like Logan Shoals Vista Point are absolutely amazing. Sitting right there among the boulders and pine trees is probably the best way to watch the sun go down after a really long day.
