Traveling to expensive places like Sardinia often feels completely out of reach for many people. I spent quite a few days relaxing on the famous white sand beaches and they were absolutely gorgeous just like the pictures you see online. You might prefer visiting the quieter stretches of sand away from the main resorts if you like a little more peace and quiet.
Learning Some Basic Italian Is Super Helpful
While people working in major tourist spots spoke good English knowing a few Italian phrases really helped me connect with locals in the smaller villages on the island. It makes your whole experience feel a lot smoother and people usually appreciate the extra effort you are making.
Overall The Points Trip Was Absolutely A Success
Even with the surprise government fees and food costs I still managed to save thousands of dollars on my European vacation by strategically using credit card points. It definitely proved to me that traveling for nearly free is possible if you are willing to do the research and plan ahead carefully.
