I Tried Club Sandwiches From Subway, Jimmy John’s, And Jersey Mike’s, But There’s One That Disappointed Me

Finding a good club sandwich is important when you want a quick lunch. I decided to test out the classic club subs from three popular chains to see how they compare. Here is the information on what I found during my taste test of Jersey Mike’s, Jimmy John’s and Subway.

Starting My Trip At Jersey Mike’s

Jersey Mike’s has been making subs for a very long time and they have over two thousand shops today. I decided to get their seven inch club sub that comes with turkey ham, provolone, bacon and mayo.

The Meat Pile Was Impressive

They really stacked the shaved turkey and ham high making the meat pile easily an inch thick on the bread. The tomato slices were a great size and the mayo was just right without being too heavy.

A Few Small Bread Issues

The wheat bread I ordered did not seem super soft or fresh when I took my first bite. The finely chopped lettuce also kept falling right out of the sandwich which was a little bit annoying while eating.

Trying Out Jimmy John’s Next

I went to Jimmy John’s next which is a place that started in the Midwest in the eighties. I bought their eight inch country club sandwich that features turkey ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato and some mayo.

Loving The Fresh French Bread

I really love the French bread here because it is so soft. It tastes super fresh for a quick lunch spot. I would be happy eating it with only butter on top. The bread is clearly the highlight of this entire meal for me now.

Thicker Cuts Of Meat And Cheese

This sandwich did not have bacon but the meat and cheese were cut much thicker than the first place. The lettuce was chopped perfectly so it actually stayed inside the sandwich instead of sliding off onto the wrapper.

Just A Little Too Much Mayo

The club I ordered was fine except for the fact that they used way too much mayo. It made the bread soft and weird. I will just tell them to use only a tiny bit next time so the sandwich stays nice and firm.

Ending The Journey At Subway

Subway is a massive global chain where you get to pick all your own toppings as you go down the line. I got their oven roasted turkey and ham sub and added mayo, provolone, lettuce and tomato to make a club.

The Sandwich Size Was Too Small

The standard six inch sub was definitely the smallest sandwich of the trio and it felt quite diminutive. I really wish I had added a lot more toppings because the vegetable portions were very modest overall.

Feeling A Mild Disappointment Here

This meal really let me down today. The meat portion was super small and it just did not taste good like the others. Paying more for extra bacon feels wrong so I will just avoid this place next time I want a quick lunch here.
