Sometimes the vibe of a place is just totally off because it has become so commercial and loud. You expect a peaceful or grand moment but you just get pushed around by huge groups of tours. It makes you wish you stayed home or went to a local park instead. It is better to know the truth before you waste your hard earned cash.

This famous painting at the Louvre is often surprisingly small and is kept far away behind thick bulletproof glass. You usually have to fight massive crowds of tourists just to get a brief glimpse of it over dozens of smartphones.
Leaning Tower Of Pisa
Pisa is a place that looks better in a frame than in real life. You get there and see everyone doing the same pose. It feels a bit silly after a while. There is no reason to stay once the camera is away.
Times Square In New York
Times Square is basically just a giant sidewalk that is way too full of people. You will see people in costumes who can be really pushy about money. The lights are super bright and the noise never stops so it just feels tiring.
Hollywood Walk Of Fame
It is essentially just a very long busy sidewalk in a normal part of Los Angeles that is frequently quite dirty. You are mostly just looking down at pavement names while dodging street vendors and large groups of other pedestrians.
Stonehenge In England
You are no longer allowed to walk right up to the ancient stones and must view them from quite far away behind a fence. The close proximity to a noisy major highway can also take away from the mystery of the site.
The Little Mermaid In Copenhagen
This statue based on the fairy tale is much smaller in person and is sitting right next to a busy industrial harbor area. It is almost always surrounded by large tourist groups that make getting a nice photo very difficult.
The Pyramids Of Giza
While the structures are incredible the aggressive vendors and camel ride operators can be very persistent and frustrating for new visitors. The fact that the sprawling city of Cairo is right across the street takes away some of the ancient desert feel.
Venice In Italy
Lots of people go to Venice to see the canals but the streets get totally jammed with travelers. It is very expensive to eat or stay there which is annoying. The city is pretty but the huge crowds of people often ruin the whole experience.
Niagara Falls
While the falling water is a great sight the local area is way too busy. Big companies built tall hotels and bright game centers right next to the river. It feels like a noisy city center and loses that quiet feeling of being outside.
Palace Of Versailles
The inside is undeniably beautiful but you often cannot move freely because it is consistently jam packed with huge tours. You might spend hours in line just to shuffle quickly through the famous Hall of Mirrors with countless other people.
