Cherry, Arugula, and Goat Cheese Salad with Toasted Seeds

It is a good combination of flavor and tastes, as well as a refreshing and satisfying mixture of cherry, arugula and seeds that are roasted. The juicy and sweet cherries are opposed to peppery arugula and creamy goat cheese gives the taste of the clash of equilibrium and wealth. Toasting the seeds also is an added value of adding warmness and nutty crunchiness with each bite. The vinaigrette is a light one that holds together all the ingredients without muting the natural ones. The salad is eaten either as a starter or as a side or as a light meal and it is equally appealing as good.

Use Fresh, Ripe Cherries

Take non wrinkled dark-coloured shiny hard cherries. The arugula is best matched with the pepperiness of the sweet and ripe fruit, which is also the tastiest. Divide them and make them half and eat.

Wash and Dry Arugula Well

Wipe towels or spin salad as much as possible because additional water will dry out the dressing and drag the leaves away. Dry greens are brisk and better vinaigrette and are crunchy.

Toast Seeds for Crunch

Get it sweet with the addition of sunflower, pumpkin or sesame seeds. Warm them lightly in a dry medium-heat pan. Keep stirring them to ensure that they brown and not burnt.

Choose Creamy Goat Cheese

Goat cheese is creamy and flakey and melts in well with the salad. The creaminess of it is acidic and does not overpower other items coupled with sweet cherries and peppery arugula. Separate to bring out even consumption in single-bites.

Make a Light Vinaigrette

Shake salt, Honey and light vinegar with olive oil and lemon juice vigorously. It must be light, yet, the dressing must be fashionable and not to obscure the ingredients.

Balance Sweet and Peppery

The salad is successful through contrast. Sweet cherries and goat cheese will be used to soften arugula to tenderize the two flavors. Taste as harmonizing so as to bring about an equilibrium of things.

Add Ingredients Gently

The greens need to be dressed and then we need to add the cherries, cheese and the seeds onto it. The light treatment will be used to make sure that leaves are not bruised and cheese will not clump up. Assembling is accomplished aesthetically and haptically.

Season Carefully

A pinch of crushed fresh pepper and salt is added to add flavor. Good enough seasoning would be dressing and cheese and hence they do not overwhelm the salad. It is also mature with sweetness, sharp and nuttiness.

Serve Fresh

One must eat this salad immediately after making it. The green leaves are plump, cheese is tender and the seeds do not become soft. Failure to remove it in time may result in shrivel and loss of texture of the same.

Try Optional Add-Ins

Flavors other than central flavors can not be antagonistic to central flavors, but can be in harmony with it. Slight additions can be made, which are able to bring new aromas and textures.
